Elderly Man Beaten to Death Over Beedi Refusal in Indore, Accused Identified

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In the Chhoti Gwaltoli police circle of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, an elderly man named Manohar was fatally beaten by a man named Karan after refusing to give him a beedi.

The incident occurred on the footpath in Kibe Compound on the intervening night of May 12 and 13. He succumbed to injuries at MY Hospital on Tuesday night after struggling for around two days.

This refusal led to an argument, during which Karan struck Manohar on the head with a wooden stick, causing him to bleed profusely. Despite being rushed to the hospital by an acquaintance, Manohar passed away during treatment.

The police began a probe into the case and conducted post-mortem of the deceased. A case of murder will be registered after police receive a short PM report mentioning cause of death.
