New Delhi: In a startling incident that occurred last night, a man was shot dead inside a Burger King outlet in West Delhi’s bustling Rajouri Garden area. This heinous crime took place in one of the busiest parts of the national capital, sending shockwaves through the community and prompting a swift police investigation.

Three shooters walked into the fast food outlet and fired at least 15 shots at the victim, witnesses told the police.

Incident Details: At approximately 9:45 PM, three assailants entered the fast food restaurant and unleashed a barrage of at least 15 shots at the victim. Eyewitnesses described the attackers as composed and methodical, suggesting a premeditated act. After the shooting, the suspects quickly exited the premises and fled the scene on two-wheelers that had been parked nearby.

The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Senior police officer Vichitra Veer provided an official statement regarding the incident. “We received a distress call from Rajouri Garden around 9:45 PM. Beat officers were dispatched promptly and arrived at the scene. Special teams were later mobilized to assist in the investigation,” said Veer.

The preliminary investigation suggests that the motive behind the attack could be linked to either personal or professional enmity. The police are working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the shooting and identify the culprits. “We are trying to establish the identities of the three shooters,” Veer added.

Law enforcement officials are currently reviewing security footage from the Burger King outlet and surrounding areas to gather clues about the attackers. The police are also interviewing the restaurant’s manager and staff members to gain further insights into the incident and any potential altercations that might have preceded the shooting.

Reports indicate that the shooting may have been the culmination of an argument between two groups. This angle is being thoroughly investigated as officers seek to determine the underlying cause of the dispute.

A Mercedes car that was parked near the Burger King is also under scrutiny. Investigators are working to ascertain whether the vehicle is connected to the shooters or if it belongs to the victim or another party involved in the incident.

The brazen nature of the attack, occurring in a well-frequented public space, has raised concerns about safety and security in the area. The police have assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice is served.

Local residents and patrons of the restaurant expressed their shock and disbelief at the violent incident. Many emphasized the need for enhanced security measures in public places to prevent such occurrences in the future.

“We come here often with our families. It’s frightening to think that something like this can happen in such a crowded place,” said one witness who wished to remain anonymous.

The police have appealed to anyone with information about the incident or the suspects to come forward. They have set up a dedicated hotline for tips and are offering protection to witnesses willing to assist in the investigation.

As the investigation unfolds, the police remain committed to uncovering the truth behind this tragic event. The Rajouri Garden community, meanwhile, grapples with the aftermath of the shooting, hoping for swift justice and restored peace in their neighborhood.
