Cross-Border Romance: Iranian Girl Engages with YouTuber from Moradabad, India

Another case of a cross-border romance, a girl from Iran got engaged with a YouTuber from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

The girl, Faiza, 24, from Hamedan in Iran, has come to India on a 20-day tourist visa to meet the YouTuber, Diwakar, and get married to him after completing the legal procedure.

Faiza and her father Masood, who is also in India, will visit the Taj Mahal and the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as well. While Faiza studies at an university, Masood is a walnut farmer in Hamedan.

On being asked about any obstructions he faced from his family, he said that his family has no religious restrictions and Faiza can follow the customs and traditions of her religion there as well.

“I faced a lot of problems from my parents initially, but after sometime, they understood everything and accepted the relationship,” Diwakar said.

He further said that he learnt “a little bit” of Persian from Faiza and has taught her Hindi.

Diwakar added that they are waiting for the legal process to get completed, following which they would marry.
