The Delhi Police, in collaboration with other security agencies, has enforced a range of security protocols to ensure the event’s safety. The measures include declaring the city a no-fly zone and imposing prohibitory orders to manage the influx of dignitaries and the general public.

Key Security Measures:

  1. Thorough Security Review: Senior Delhi Police officials have conducted comprehensive security reviews at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to ensure all arrangements are in place for the high-profile event.
  2. Foreign Dignitaries’ Security: Special security protocols have been arranged for visiting foreign dignitaries, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremasinghe, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, who are among the global leaders attending the ceremony.
  3. Hotel Security: Enhanced security measures are being implemented at the designated hotels where the foreign guests will be staying.
  4. No-Fly Zone: An advisory has been issued by the city police declaring a ‘No-Fly Zone’ over the NCT of Delhi. This measure aims to prevent potential threats from sub-conventional aerial platforms, which could be used by criminal or anti-social elements during the oath ceremony.
  5. Prohibited Aerial Activities: The advisory prohibits the operation of various aerial platforms, including para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, UAVs, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, and quadcopters. The restrictions are in effect from June 9 to June 10 to thwart any security threats.
  6. Penalties for Violations: Violators of these rules will face penalties and prosecution under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
  7. Cancellation of Change of Guard Ceremony: The Rashtrapati Bhavan has announced the cancellation of the weekly Change of Guard Ceremony on June 8 in light of the security preparations.
