NEET UG Result 2024 declared- Merit is expected to go higher

National Testing Agency, NTA has declared NEET UG Result 2024 on June 4, 2024. Candidates who have appeared for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test can check the scores through the official website of NTA NEET at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.

NEET UG entrance examination was conducted on May 5, 2024. The provisional answer key was released on May 29 and the objection window was closed on June 1, 2024. The final answer key was released on June 3, 2024.

This year 10,29,154 male, 13,76,831 female and 13 third gender candidates registered for the examination. Out of which 5,47,036 male candidates, 7,69,222 female candidates and 10 third gender candidates qualified the NEET UG examination this year.

The cut-off this year for the general category candidates has increased from 137 last year to 164 this year. But in realty the students who have scored more than 600 marks will get admission in any of the government medical colleges.

The all India rank 1 is shared by 67 students. They have scored 99.997129 percentile. In AIMS Delhi , the number of seats for general category are only 45, means all toppers will not get admission in Delhi.

As many as 46794 students have qualified from Delhi alone. Of them, four are in the top 100 list. They are: Mridul Manya Anand, Divyansh, Sujoy Datta and Lakshay.

In terms of state-wise performance, Uttar Pradesh reported the highest number of qualified candidates with 1,65,047 students followed by Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu with 1,42,665, 121240 and 89,426 respectively.

There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets.

How to check scorecards

To check the scorecards, candidates will have to follow the steps given below.

  • Visit the official website of exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
  • Click on NEET UG Result 2024 link available on the home page.
  • Enter the login details and click on submit.
  • Your result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Check the result and download the page.
  • Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

The Result of NEET (UG) 2024 may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/rules.

NEET-UG is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and BSc (H) Nursing courses.
There are more than 80,000 MBBS seats in over 540 medical colleges in the country.

The result data may also be utilized for B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The NEET (UG) – 2024 data will also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCIin recognized Veterinary Colleges. However, the Council has to approach the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW in order to obtain the said data of results.
