Days after Bibhav Kumar, Arvind Kejriwal’s aide, misbehaved with Swati Maliwal, the former was spotted with the Delhi Chief Minister at the Lucknow airport on Wednesday.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh was also seen with the Chief Minister.
NCW on Swati Maliwal’s assault allegations
Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma also expressed concerns over Maliwal’s safety and asked her to speak up. Sharma also wondered whether Maliwal was under any sort of pressure not to complain to the police.
“I am worried about the safety of @SwatiJaiHind… what pressure is she under that she is unable to come forward and file a complaint with police. Be brave Swati #speakup,” Sharma said on X.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Tajinder Bagga slammed Arvind Kejriwal and questioned him about punishing Bibhav Kumar for allegedly misbehaving with Swati Maliwal.
Citing Singh’s statement that Bibhav Kumar, ‘misbehaved’ with Maliwal and Kejriwal directed stern action on the matter, Bagga wrote on X, “Sanjay Singh ji was saying that you will take strict action against Bibhav but you started making him tour the whole country.
The police said they had not received a formal complaint from Maliwal in this regard.
They said they had received a PCR call at 9.34 am from a woman who said she had been assaulted at the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence.
“After some time, MP madam came to the police station. However, she left stating she would give a complaint later,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) MK Meena told reporters.
The call was from Maliwal’s mobile number, said another officer, stating that she was the one on the other side of the line
