A young Indian boy residing in Dubai was recently honoured by the city’s police for his admirable action. While out exploring with his father, Muhammad Ayan Younis stumbled upon a lost watch and immediately made the decision to return it.
Impressed by his exemplary behaviour, the Dubai Tourist Police Department recognised Muhammad Ayan for his honesty and good judgement. They shared the heartening news in an X post, commending the young boy for his integrity.
Brigadier Khalfan Obeid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, along with his deputy and other officials, presented Muhammad Ayan with a certificate in appreciation of his actions, according to a blog post included in the caption of the post.
The watch, which belonged to a tourist visiting Dubai, had been lost during their trip. Despite the tourist having already departed for their homeland, Dubai police diligently contacted them and successfully reunited them with their lost possession.
Upon receiving his watch back, the tourist expressed immense satisfaction with the high level of security and integrity exhibited by Dubai’s law enforcement authorities.

Many officials of the Dubai Tourism Department such as Brigadier Khalfan Obeid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, along with his deputy, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abdul Rahman, and Captain Shahab Al Saadi, Head of the Tourist Happiness Section, were present at Muhammad Ayan Younis’s felicitation ceremony. Brigadier Al Jallaf said the “child’s behaviour reflects the high moral standards and security prevalent in the UAE”, especially when it comes to their viral tourism sector.
This is not the first time that a common person was awarded by the Dubai authorities for their high civic sense. Back in April, Zeeshan Ahmad Irshad Ahmad, who works as a delivery man for the food delivery company Talabat, was spotted fixing a traffic signal that was dangling by the side. His considered actions were captured by someone who was in a car behind him. Once this video began circulating, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) took note of it. Zeeshan was invited to the RTA headquarters and given a certificate of appreciation.
