This was part of the joint military exercise ‘SHAKTI 2024.’ The exercise, held in Umroi, Meghalaya, aims to enhance the joint military capabilities of both nations and marks the 7th edition of the Indo-French military cooperation.


The United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) was established by the UN Security Council in 2005 following a Peace Agreement between the Sudanese government and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement. UNMIS plays a crucial role in implementing the Peace Agreement, providing humanitarian assistance, protecting and promoting human rights, and supporting the African Union Mission in Sudan.
